Hi, my brother has an '01 F350 Crew SRW PSD, Started truck yesterday, lights cycled normal, ABS went off and then right back on & now stays on. FYI Replaced brakes before leaving Washington State(2400 miles ago)Front hubs are not over heating, pulled rear diff sensor & cleaned it. What else? About to head into Badlands and on into Montana....any ideas?
Duh! Should have read closer: "Front hubs are not overheating..."
Sorry about that.
In that case - when your brother replaced the brakes did he happen to replace the rotors? If you get the wrong rotors they won't have the ABS pickup.
If pads only, make sure there's no lose wire to the front sensors.
After cleaning the sensors and checking the wiring - make sure there's no trash on the sensors at the pick-up area in front - it still could be the rear sensor. The sensor for the rear is about $28.00
