6.0 Chatter

While hauling my camper across country I started to experience a chatter noise when the trany shifted up (after limbing a long hill). It appeared to be from the tork converter but now sure. There was no change in the engine performance but the chatter concerned me. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Thanks

I would bring this up to the service dept. There was a recall or tsb on the trannys for certain years. My 04 was under this. Don't know if this was to solve this problem or not.

I have a 2005 F-350 CC with auto trans. I have experienced this chatter as well. It happens when the engine is under load, around 1700-1800 RPM. It goes away with acceleration and downshift. I suspect it's the turbo but when I mentioned it to the turbo guy at the local Ford dealer, he said it was a normal phenomenon. I'd be interested in hearing from others who have had this happen

I'm going by my local Ford dealer which has impressed me with their work and effots to please customers. If they have anthing of value to say about this, I'll post it here.
