This is off topic and not asking for anything, just saying that I'm getting a boxed 460 plus tranny for $100. The guy was going to rebuild it and lost interest.
I love the 390 that I already have.
Hey well good for you.... I love my 460/521"er.....when Kaase Signs the paper work on his new heads...I have the money sitting aside to get them as I sold my New/Old Kaase SCJ's to make way for the new one's !! They'll flow about 400cfm right out of the box!!
It should make the 3000lbs Stang get on down the track?? Make a nice street terror!!

Boy thats one hell of an understatment! you could unplug 4 plugs and have a nice street terror. what kind of mustang? fox or old school?
Good find debestuss! I have an 460 build in my future plans. Maybe a 514 or 557 for a pulling truck. As for kaase he knows power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! O/T! He's creative too, in last years engine masters he used a cleveland with chi heads but anyways used .300 thick head gasket for some cid, rules are changed for this year.
I have an 88 Stang coupe that the 521"er is goin in....And as far as a .300" head gasket i never heard such a thing ? and I probably talk to Jon at least once a month to see how the new heads are coming...And his engine for next year will probably be a Pontiac...
Its getting kind of old for him to keep winning the EMC...with the fords..So I think he going with Pontiac this year.. As far as he told me anyway...
Boys, you got me all hyped up now! I just can't imagine what it would be like to have that monster under the hood of my '69. I'd have to pull the 3 on the tree out and go with the auto tranny, huh. Oh well. I get google eyes when folks ask me if I have a 302 in there and I tell them it's a 390. Wait 'til they get a load of that 460, WOW!! That project is probably good for next year right now, though. Anticipation.
Yeah, Its real easy to get 500hp and 550lbs of tq, out of a 460.. As close as we can figure and this has been verified by more 460's in Fox Body Mustangs Owners than I care to count.. I should be making 750hp and around 800lbs of Tq...
And that was with the Last version of Kaase Heads.. NOT the new one's..So only time will tell? I think you'll like it..there a pretty neat Motor also... I almost put one in my truck, but then decided against it.....And Just figure I'd keep the 390 in it for Old time sake....
Yeah, I have heard that kaase is going pontiac next year as well. I think he can pull it off. He knows cylinder heads in and out, i think he will find the power he needs to win.
I am wondering how do these kaase heads compare to the trick flow a460?
I think with the A460's you have to step up to a larger Bore.. There more in the line of Blue Thunder and TFS Steet heads...But outflow both of them.... I ask Kaase if he would put in the Timeserts like B/T does..That Makes for a good solid mounting area..
But I dont know that he will as he's trying to keep the cost down... But I had told him, I think the guys would pay an Extra $50 a head, without a problem... But we'll see?? I cant wait!!!!
