Angry 77004x4sc only

Does anyone out there have a sc4x47700 ???I wanted to know how the front suspension felt.My dealer say's it's fine but it feels way to soft for me.It rides good down the road with small bumps and dips ,but as soon as the suspension has to go up or down lots ,like from a big dip in the road or after a overpass connection etc...the front goes up and down about three times before leveling off.Just like your dady's big old chev impala or something like that.I put new ford shocks on it with no improvement at all.I even jacked up my torsion rods a little.Still same problem.I checked to make sure they sold me the proper shocks ,and they checked out ok.(They're the blu strip shocks....identified by a blue paint mark at the bottom.Anyone out there have or had this problem?????HELP

I remember you mentioned this before,I guess it's just the way they are. It doesn't really bother me, but I don't have too many dips to deal with (not excluding other drivers). I personally would say the front of the truck is under shocked, but It must meet DOT regulations. You can always go with adjustable off road shocks to slow 'er down a bit, but that's probably big $$. Sorry for not a better answer, Rob.

Mine is a super cab, but it is the 7700, and it does not seem to do this at all. It has 119,300 miles on it, with the origional shocks on it. The tires have just begun to cup a little, but just on the front. I just bought some Rancho RSX shocks for the front and will be replacing them very soon. I found them for $25.00 each! What a deal. My brother-in-law put a set of the RSX's on his super duty, and what a nice ride. He kept complaining about how rough the ride was, so he bought the RSX's to see if it would help. Boy did it, it was like a whole different truck. Also, they do great off-road. They are usually very expensive, but I have also had the RS5000 shocks, and they do great, and for a much better price.

Yeah. I just purchased my truck just over a week ago. The front seems a little soft. I was blaming it on bad shocks 138000k

I have a 2000 7700 4x4 S/C...When I tighten my tortion bars too tight the truck actually jerks more... it bouces off of the travel stops. THe front of mine doesn't bounce too much or is too soft when the tortion bars are set right... it just jerks a lot. It rides way more like an older truck than the non-7700 trucks of this era.

I like the firm feel my truck has although I can tell when the shocks start fading. When I start getting a couple of bounces after hitting a hole - it's time for new shocks. I use the Monroe Gas Magnums and they do a decent job.

I have the same feeling. I replaced my shocks with no improvement. I tightened my torsion bars to raise it 3/8" and it seemes improved. It just feeels like the front end is too heavy for the suspension, or I need a good load in the bed. Let us know if you find a good solution.

thanks
