Help w/my offy

Ok, got it all on and connected. If the trucks been cold, the engine will idel, yes idel at about 2000rpm until it warms up, not even kicking it down will work. Also, once i get on the gas pedal and wanna go baby go, it boogs down, BAD, and almost stalls out. Are there new timing specs after this install or somthing else going on?

Sounds a lot like a vacuum leak. Check around real good and make sure everything is sealed up, no stray hoses or open fittings on carb.

No everything is on there good and tight. I mean it was 908 outside when i started her up, she shouldnt need to to warm up that much right? could it be timing or the distributor?

Check the base of your carb & gasket. Not all carbs seal well to the offy & clifford bases. I had a problem with a 2150 2V to a clifford and all it need was a thicker gasket.

I check all of the vacumn lines, and all of the necessary ones that needed to be plugged up are and not leaky. Im just at a loss. IMa try to make it run a lil leaner and see hwo that works out.

Ok, fix the idle by making it run a lil more lean, but it is still bogging down on me when i get on it, in every gear. the only vacumn that i can think of that might be making that happen, although i put my fingers over them and it didn't have any effect was on the neck of the water pump there is a tree with #4 small male openings.
