Now I've done it... Got scalded.
The aloe vera sounds good. LOOSE clothes. Watch the blisters. Wrap with gause (not tightly, quite loose, in fact) and bathe in cool water.
Burns are not something to mess around with. You might go the the M.D. just to have the burns looked at, for a professional opinion.
I feel for you. Burns bite the big one. . . .

They used to say butter but I think the best quick thing to do is cold, clean water.
When my baby sister was about 3 or 4 she was standing in front of the stove and some how pulled the kettle of boiling coffee off the stove and it poured all over her chest and belly. My Mom, being a former nurse doused her with cold water. I felt so bad for my sister. She suffered something awful.
Burns are no fun. Burning to death is the worst way to die. Ever see "Breakfast At Tiffany's" when the pressure cooker blew up? Crap happen's.

Ain't nobody gonna stop me...

YOU CAN LOOK - but you BETTER NOT TOUCH

I think once they peal and harden it should be okay. I'll just add vitamin E to my daily for a while. (That and stay out of the garden, I don't need dirt in the mix)
Rats! Not much left of the growing season either.

Watch out for infection. Keep Neosporin or something on it until it heals. If it gets infected, see a doc.
I hope you heal up OK.
Smartest thing you did was to get those clothes off immediately. Your clothes would hold the heat against your skin and prolong the burning. As you noticed, tightest clothing (beltline, etc) gets the worst of it. Cold water is the best first aid that I'm aware of. You need to be quick with it.
Maybe its an omen, maybe I'm not supposed to have anything to do with DIRECTV.
I still have other things to do, and I need to be able to turn wrenches without worrying about filth getting into an open burn. What an awkward mess.

Missed her face and hit the ceiling.
It was defective.
But they do work well.
I think the new ones have a release valve, but I'm not sure.
The unit did have an interlock, but I was releasing pressure with it at the time. The center port on the lid had got plugged with something.
My recommendation to anyone that was not sure of one of these is to set it aside off of the heat until it gets uniformly cold. Why repeat my mistake? It friggin' hurts, and pain only means one thing - you are in trouble.
I made another mistake today. I put a bandage over it so I could run to the local store and part of the tape I used was over an area I thought was just mildly reddened.
Guess what happened when I pulled the tape off?
"Yowwwww...." There went more skin.

Stuff happens.
Even more stuff happens if we don't learn from others...
I could wish I was in a position to NOT provide an example of what not to do with a pressure cooker, but there it is.
I'm having a bad week

Scroll down a bit.
Think about the bright side wolf, you could get some serious money for this! In the sue-happy america we live in today, you can get millions for this! If someone can get burnt eating Mcdonalds, and get millions, you can too! If you do sue and get money give me some for giving you the idea!
you could run to the local fire department and ask them what you should do, even though it's kinda embaressing...
