I have a 1998 Suburban now, so I am used to filling up my tank for $95..... Just looking for some opinions on the quality, etc. of Excursions and if this one looks like a good (or even fair) deal....
The Excursion was built to tow stuff and carry people. The overall quality of the Excursion is just superb to say the least. Many of us have had ours for years with no complaints and lots of love form them. (myself included ) If you tow often, the 4.30 rear end will serve you well; otherwise just stick with the stock 3.73. You've got yourself a good deal, but see what the others have to say before you jump. Best of luck to ya'!
I just paid $24k for a 2004 Limited 4-wheel drive with a V10. It had 22000 miles on it. Bought it off of Ebay. I looked for it for quite awhile and did have to pay $750 to have it delivered.
First of all Welcome!! This is a great site for EX info.
I have an 02 XLT Premium with the V-10 3.73 rear. I have a 28ft boat I tow every once in a while and it does it flawlessly. The V-10 engine, In my opinion is the best engine Ford puts out. I have only 27,500 miles on mine, but I have not yet had one problem with engine or tranny in over 3 years since I bought it new. The 44k can't be the purchase price..If it is, that is way too much $$ for that EX. I would think you could get it for 25-27k.
Again Welcome and let us know what you end up with.
yesterday that website changed and contained the wrong information.... as of my typing of this, it has been corrected.... anyway, they took off $1000 and are willing to sell it for $24,990.... it drove great and seems 10 times bigger than my Suburban..... I love it.....
thanks for the input, I plan to complete the sale on Thursday.....
