Yep, Facing the engine with the cap off and the thermostat opened you should see a good flow going from right to left toward the top radiator hose....
If you can reach in and grab the fan and move it front to back the bearings are gone and time for a new one...and or the impeller in the case is shot? Or your have a bad thermostat.. To test one...take it out of course and put it in a pot of water..bring it up to a boil..and see if it opens up... you will see the brass can in the thermostat move up in the spring and open the seal at the top..

of course with the motor off. you might loose a few fingers or a hand or two if not.
Started truck last night and stole wifes meat thermometer. Outside temp was 82 % F. When all warmed up water in rediator was 194 % F and NO MOVEMENT. Voltage regularor base was 132 % F. Tested dash guage by grounding on block and it went the whole way up but when hooked up it just moives alittle past the "C" to the right.
Actually, unless under a load, the thermostat will open and close, you'll see the water move for a little bit, and then stop.
Is this an F-series truck? With the radiator tanks, one on top, one on bottom, it may be hard to see the water flowing, as it's coming out the top hose, and going straight down.
Check your thermostat... if you can, boil a pot of water, drop in the thermostat and see if it opens and then closes after you take it out. If you want to be really accurate, put it in before the water boils and check with a thermometer when it opens.
Check the radiator for blockage.
Take out the thermostat, put the cover back on, start the truck and check the radiator - you should see water flowing...
removed thermostat and it was 195% put back together and its got water going thru the radiator like Niagria falls (well almost) so I ordered a 180 % theromstat and new water temp sensor and will install fan shound after I fix it.
