Super Duty Problems..
A friend of mine bought a new 04 diesel F250 about 6 months ago and now it's in the shop for a serious problem. What it does for instance is when your stopped at a stop light the engine will rev up to about 2500 rpm on it's own and surge forward, even while holding the brake. Kinda scary. Anyway th dealer told him that they had 2 other customers with the same symptoms and their trucks could not be fixed. The trucks had to be sent back to ford and the buyers got brand new 05's. What the people at ford found was that somehow trans fluid was getting into the fuel line and into the engine and somehow that was causing the problem. I don't know all the details but has this happened to any of you guys?
