351w woes

I have 1983 F250 with a 351 W engine that is beginning to knock and use oil.

A couple of friends have (jokingly?) suggested I swap over to a 6 cylinder instead of rebuilding the V8.

How hard would that be?

why, it would be more trouble , less power etc.. then its worth. what do you use your truck for? i say find a wrecking yard motor and swap it in if money is the issue. there are few things that would need changed if you went to a 300-6. if your really wanting to swap to anything i suggest a 460 at least
