Just bought a 1974 F100. With it came the org list of options , one of which is ( optional ratio rear axle ). The truck has a 302 and a auto trans. I have other 302's with 3 speeds and get in the area of 15 to 18 mpg. This truck gives me 12 mpg at 70 mph. I'm thinking it is the rear end gears. Can anyone help? Thanks
On your advice and Info I went out and checked the lower bolts and mine is a nine in. I then removed the tag and realy cleaned it up. You are right on the button. Numbers missing etc
WDM-T 4FC
3 50 9 333A
Although the WDM-T was not on the list. I'm thinking that the 3 50 9 Means 3.50 to 1 and it is a 9" rear end. Thanks so muck for the info
