going bald

my '90 bronco's 2nd pair of tires are ready to be replaced. I obviously need new ones before the winter so now is the time to start looking. I want tires that are strong enough for the road but i can take in a little mud here and there. something that looks pretty decent and is around 37. anyone have any suggestions?

37 what???

tires...i would go with BFG all terrain, they are kinda expencive, but well worth it. but prolly any name brand all terrain tire would be good, just remeber that the more aggressive tread, the more noise and less milege

I'd be best for you to go with A/T for mileage, and some off roading. BFG would be one of the best, at least over good years, I don't like there treid, or price, But I have seen them get about 70k belive it or not, just highway.

hey everyone...i don't know what i was thinking. my rollers aren't 35. they are 31. stock size. anyway, that means my statement about having a 37 in tire is rediculous. they are
31 X 10.5 R15
the rim is stock too meaning it has the "fancy" wheel covers which are crap. i lost 3 of them over the years i've had it.
anyway, so does that change any of your suggestions?

A/T would still be my opinion, but you could look into some superswamper Thornbirds, they're suposed to be good on road, and ok in the mud, at least better then a A/T.
BFG, Goodyear, Dunlop a/ts(I have some 31" tires on my Bronco right now, and there ok)

Don't think they would be much good in mud, but I put a set of Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo's on my Bronco and am real happy with them. Decent look, quiet, and excellent wet weather traction. You could always mount some on a new set of rims and keep you old rims with some mud tires on them.

BJ's Wholesale club has the BFG AT's. I just got 4 about a month ago, completely installed, balanced, valve stems etc... they were 122 each... Good luck...

thanks for all the feedback...

so to sum this up..I should be looking for a/t tires of wut size about?

and i like the idea of keeping the old rims and eventually putting mud tires on them.

You could fit some 33s, but I'd go with 31s or 32s and 12.50 wide.

Just my opinion.

I've heard this only happens on lock to lock turns and not that bad, but I personally don't have that set up, just know it would fit with some finder rubbing when things get rough.

well, i think that it would be semi bad, as with my 31 bfg mt's, they rub the arms at full lock, and those are only 10.5,

I have 31" Dunlop A/Ts 10.50 and they don't rub my arms, just to say. I'll be lifting mine soon and putting some 36x13.50L15 SS Irocs, and I'll expect some rubbing then, but still not to much, hopfully.
