WELL I PULLED THE PAN CHANGED THE FILTER (SMALL AMOUNT SHAVINGS IN PAN) PUT IN NEW MODULATOR. STILL NO FORWARD GEARS.
PULL THE TRANNY LINE FROM THE RAD, SEEMS LIKE THERE'S GOOD PRESSURE WHEN IN REVERSE. (BLEW THE RUBBER OFF I WAS USING TO RECOVER THE FLUID, grrr what a mess) WHEN PUT IN ANY FORWARD GEAR THE PRESSURE IS NEXT TO NOTHING
ITS A 94 EXPLORER 125K+ ON THE TRANNY
WHATS THE NEXT STEP???? NEW TRANNY?
Might be the valve body itself - the funny circuit looking machined plate that was above the filter. Did you remove and clean it? This device routes the tranny fluid to the right parts of the trans depending on what gear is selected. If you're not getting good circulation, could be the problem. Be careful as there are little ball bearings and springs inside it when you removed it. Otherwise, I'm not sure exactly where too look - never rebuilt an auto.
