lighting problem

Today after I found a new column for my truck, it all fit together great, now another problem, when I turn on my head lights my passanger side turn signal dont work but the drivers side side marker light dimmly blinks, when i turn it for the drivers side it works great, and when i turn off my headlights everything works fine, its just when i turn on my headlights the passanger side dont come on, and the light in the dash kinda stays on real dim. Anyone have any clues on whats causing this?

bad ground or bad bulb in the parking light circuit. The dim turn signal is the parking light grounding through the turn signal element and back feeding to your turn signal switch. A good starting point would be the front signal/ parking lamp bulb, clean the socket and replace the bulb check the ground then the side marker bulb

Still having the problem after I put in a new bulb and put some dielectic grease in it, and also I replaced both flasher units under the dash. Maybe its time to change the bulb sockets, and if that dont work it has to be in the steering column, maybe its the one thing in there that controls which one flashes.

They all four work ok, but when I turn on my headlights the passenger side dont flash.

Check the grounds for the blinkers. Each of the blinkers bulbs should have a ground wire that is bolted to the body of the pickup. Remove this, clean the metal and wire end with sand paper and coat with dielectric grease. Most times cleaning the grounds with fix this problem.

I cleaned the grounds, got a new bulb, and got a new socket, and it still does it. I went and bought a light switch, maybe thast it, and if not it has to be the thing in the steering column.

Here is an update on my headacch. We took all the wiring out of the passanger side and see whats up, there is only one ground for the side light, the headlight, and the turn signal light all tied into one, A mechanic told me it was something with the ground having to go to the frame of the truck, but there is no ground going to the frame, but the other side works so is that even the problem. And found another problem, when we took the ground off the headlight still stays but real dim. I Took the steering wheel off and put a different turn signal indicator in and still have the problem. Its done this since I put a new doghouse on the truck.

Here is what I have done so far.
New flasher units
new bulbs
new sockets
changed indicator
cleaned up the ground
made a bigger mess

I looked for the other topic on this by docholiday but couldnt find what I was looking for.. Hopefully one of you can help me with this frustration, so I can go off and work on something else, like replacing my lifters. Thanks
