i put an aftermarket oil preasure guage in my truck today and after i hooked up all the lines. when i was checking it for leaks i noticed that my fuel pump filter bowl was moving up and down evry tiime the pump pumped. i checked the bolts holding it to the block and they were all tight along with everything else. it was just the pump bounceing everytime the cam for the pump went up. i know this sounds weird but i just want to make sure that the pump isnt going bad.

Sounds like the pump housing may be cracked. If it is tight up against the block, and it is moving, I would replace it before it breaks and leaves you stranded or even worse, causes a fire.
hmmmm that is what i was afraid of. ill have to look closer and see if it is cracked. i guess if it is cracked i will prolly upgrade to a electric fuel pump or a better mechanical one.
