It is my understanding that there is supposed to be two of those silver cylinders under your dash for your blinkers. My blinkers are slow and I need to replace them. I've found one of them behind the instrument panel but I can't find the other anywhere. Does anyone know where it might be or, if its been removed, what the wires it connects to look like?
greenhornet,
There should be one for the turn signals and one for the 4-way flashers...( emergency flashers ).
Turn on the signal lights and listen for the blinking sound , follow it down ,then do the same with the 4-ways !
woah!!!! okay would a 78 F250 have 2 flashers (1 for turn signals and one for emergency flashers)?
the flashers in my truck, just light up, but dont flash, when i turn on my emergency flashers they flash. I found one flasher and replaced it, that didnt seem to help. Would this mean that i have another flasher that is bad?
the second one million is talking about should be on the door post, behind the headlight switch, and behind the dash.... you can see if if you lay on your back and kiss the brake peddle... it should be mounted to the side of the truck and a counter clockwise 1/4 turn should free it... if you still can't find it... remove the dash trim and it should be easy to see... that how i discovered it on my new 78..
