Help ID this tail light

I know it's Ford. But I can't readily find any info on the web to help me ID the tail light on this F-100. Looks clean on that fender.

V56 -

I think that's an old Mercury passenger car tail light. Maybe 1949 or 1950? I have seen them before. A favorite mod for old rodders around here.

Those are the taillights that I'm putting on my truck. I've actually got 5 chrome bezels. I only need 2 so let me know if your interested.

I too think its a 1950 Merc... but to be sure, you should find the manufacturer and the year in one of the corners of the lense - is there anything there? Of course, if the truck isn't your........ that would be a bit difficult. If your interested, I'd surely take Svooom up on the offer!!

Fifty merc is correct guys, used them on my 53 and my 55.. it is old school mod. Just happens to fit the effie fender radius real good. Frenches real nice and looks great too. Used widly back in the day due to very little metal work and made for a nice weekend mod with little bux. Repops are plentiful.

Niteprowlers for 1. There are others but I will surf my books and find more. Plus, I see them alot at swaps. Also, google 50 merc parts,tail lights and see what comes up. I got 2 pairs last year from Sams Vintage Ford and I will call him IF you are seriously wanting some. The lenses of course are also an easy find as they are a normal custom bait item.
