I have a 77 F-250 with a 351M/400 with a divorced transfer case and had it brought to my attention that the transfer case mounts are bad.
Ok,no big deal but were to find them.I called a few local parts stores like NAPA and bumper to bumper but they said I would have to go right threw Ford.I called the local ford dealership and they said that they could get them special order from a place in New Your but it would take a while.
I did not check any other Ford dealers in the area but I would like to have them sooner then later.Does anybody no of a national parts store that would like have these or am I going to just have to wait?
Also the dealership I talked to said that the place in New York he talked to said there was only 32 mounts left,so what does that meen after they are gone they wont have any more or what?
Please Help

i'm going to give you two napa part numbers that will substitute and function as good as OR better than the origional xfer case mounts....napa #-602-1177>>>this is a hardened, rubber motor mount with a steel core that fits on the bottom and top of the frame mounted steel plate that has the 4 bolts that mount to the frame-----about 8 bucks apiece---you will need--8-- of these---donot buy the cheapies from O'reillys as they Will not work!!!!!Napa #267-1309>>>this is an Upper a-frame bushing that has to be basically cut in half with a sawzall , --4-- of these at 6 bucks apiece----this bushing fits into the center hole in the steel plate and it keeps the (4)....4" by 5/8 inch bolts centered as they go thru the steel plate and screw into the holes in the xfer case----the bushings will "disappear" as you tighten the bolts into the xfer case as they will be squeezed BETWEEN the Two motor mounts....two motor mounts per 4 inch bolt ----Take Note-----the aframe bushings only need to be long enough to extend about 1\8th inch Below the bottom edge of the steel plate---the steel LIP on the top of the bushing will keep it from sliding thru the hole , Also---the bushings are a Real Bitch to trim as they are made of some type of hardened material----get Milwaukee blade #5182---it may take 2 blades per bushing so you might want to pickup (2) packages of 5----Home depot carries these I believe.......It will all make sense after you have the parts in front of you!!!!!!have fun!!??fd
I had the same thing happen this summer with my '73. I went through a guy by my house that deals only in 73-79 Ford Truck parts. He got me new bushings from Ford, upper and lowers for 50 bucks. I get the same run a round with Ford when i go to their part deptment "Your truck is too old we cant help you". The guy in New York is called Millers Obsolete Parts he got me a bunch of stuff when first started working on my truck. He will find the parts and get them in then you send him a money order and then he will send the parts. The part numbers for those bushings are both a 1959 (B9) number.

I was just wondering if anyone got the number to Millers Obsolete Parts or at least the town in which it is located. I too am haveing one hell of a time trying to find mounts for my '70 f250 4x4. My transfer case had about an inch of play due to the deterioated mounts.
HANG ON HERE I HAVE THE ACTUAL PART NUMBER FROM FORD FOR THE TRANFER CASE MOUNTS IT IS B4Q-7010-B I THINK THAT IS IT HIS HAND WRIGHTING WAS NOT THE BEST ON THE RECIEPT.HOPE THATS IT.
