Cheaper lifts

I wasn't sure whether to post this here or the off-road section, but i figured not everyone buys a lift for off-roading.

How come an '04 F150 costs twice as much as a '80 F150 does?

Just wondering.

different frame designs, the 04 is going to be more complex there for more engineering/ parts are involved in the kit

you think an 04' is bad look at what a 00' f-150 4wd is. your's has coils in front doesn't it? It's really expensive if you have torsion bar.
