Red face Fuel in my Coolant problem found!

Heres the numbers! 99 F350 86K miles 7.3 PSD 4X4 Crew cab auto. Original owner since March of 98. Always serviced and pampered. One of the first Super duties. Used primarily for Camping, Boating and Dirt biking. Problem? Fuel in my coolant tank. Looked like a seperation problem of fluids. Coolant and Cavitation juice first thought? Smells just like turpentine when smelled??? The problem was in the # 6 position. Fuel was leaking from a super small crack in the brass injector cup. Causing the high pressure of the fuel system which is higher pressure than the coolant to find a new home in the coolant system and finally into the coolant tank. Caught it early. Decided to replace all cups one side only 2,4,6,and 8 and all injector seals both sides. Luckily no damage. Will have to keep an eye on the water pump I figure since it has had the fuel introduced. Seems to be rare for this motor but it does happen! Hope this will help the next PSD owner in searches when its his turn! Even tho this is a pain, this has been the best Ford Truck I have ever owned.

Cool Deal! Make sure you flush the radiator and definately keep an eye on the water pump.
