check around rubicon has a thread in here with the only air kit out right now. k and n states they have a replacement filter, but sorry it will not fit. long and narrow verses the almost sq.
exhaust wise be very carefull. the v10 dose not sound like a v8 due to it;s fireing order. many have wasted lots of coin before they got some thing near what they want
Thanks Captain. I've owned a 2000 Ford Excursion since new, which I traded in on my new F250. It was V10, with no performance mods at all. Worked perfectly, though preferred a bit more "throat" than that stock exhaust.
Prior to Excursion, owned a 1998 F250 S/C with the 5.4 Triton. Had K & N filter + 2.5" pipe back from the cat into "reverse" glass pack. 3" single side exit--
one has never heard such beautiful music.
With the unique exhaust pitch of the new V10, would like to make it a little deeper and improve gas mpg, if possible.

I'll continue to research the subject.
Thanks again for the feedback.

Deeper you'll get at idle with any accessorry muffler. But in the upper rpms you'll be looking for a samarai sword to commit hari kari if you choose unwisely grasshopper. The best sound seems to come from a Flowmaster 70, or a similarly baffled Magnaflow or DynaMax. Unfortunately as the V10 gets loud, it does at the expense of tone. The FM70 is louder, and yet still gives a nice tone. But if youre looking for the 69 Mach 1 sound stop right there, it will never happen. But how many guys already have that sound ? We are unique, trendsetters, avant garde in the world of common V8's. Good luck, Ken
I've haven't modded my exhaust yet, or much else for that matter. I have however grown to like the sound of the V10. Maybe it is the unique tone or being able to relate that sound to the power I feel when I drive it. Anyway I don't want mine to sound like a V8 when the time(money) comes to upgrade the exhaust I will want it slightly louder, but not much different. It's a V10 you should embrace it, not try to hide it.
