I want to put Stewart Warner gauges in my truck. I see that several company's make a "billet" panel to fit there for $150 or so. Does anyone have a lower priced alternative? Looks like it could be done with plain steel or even tough plastic. Just wondering.
If you have a fab shop nearby...then have them cut a piece of alum. out and you can put your own gauges in. I bet you wouldn't have $30 in it. A hole saw and an afternoon you'd be set. Get it with 'brushed" finish, or do it yourself with steel wool!
If you can get someone with large scrap pieces of stainless or such....you might get a real deal on it!
