I have a 98 Ranger automatic that seems to have drive shaft problems. I've taken the front driveshaft coupling off and coated the splines with teflon grease and it helps a lot!! But it only last maybe 3 to 6 months. Now the driveshaft is clunking again on take offs and I know its time to coated those blasted splines again and I also need to replace the rubber boot. Does anyone know there is a better way to fix this problem ? Has Ford came up with a better idea on this issue or am I domed to crawl back under the darn thing and grease it again?
