Well it's just a couple more days away and I don't know about you all but I am getting really worked up for the Rally. Looking forward to seeing everyone and their trucks, plus meeting a bunch of members from all over. Looks like the weather is not going to be to bad for us so we should have one great time.
My wife's mom is coming up from Mexico and bringing three of our nephews with her. They want to come up and see the trucks too...so we'll have a small crowd ourselves. I think I'm going to rent a van to drive up there, though....if I'm really lucky, it will be a Ford.
Doubt it, we'll drive up Saturday AM and probably head home that night. Brother and I thought about bringing his old '73 up, but he decided not to--too much $$$ just to make everyone else feel better about their trucks.
I planning to drive up from Manhattan, KS early saturday morning. I could take several others along depending on which truck I drive. Let me know so I know which one to clean. If only one person wants to go and is willing to have an adventure, I might drive Old Smokey the '54 F250.
Well I got Joe's truck all loaded up on the trailer and ready to go tomorrow. Not sure now if I am going to bring my BII though. Time went by fast and it's not done, my 02 isn't waxed and cleaned real good either. May just be Joe's in the show and shine. Going to try and get off a little early tomorrow and head to KC but if I can't get off early we won't be there until about 6:30.
I just rented a van from Mel Hambelton. All they had was a 12-passenger, and right now I'm hauling six, maybe seven if brother comes. If someone around Wichita wants a ride, or if they can get to my place early Sat AM, they're welcome to ride with us. We will be coming home Saturday night. No cost except what you eat and drink.
Well put new shocks and tires on Mule tonight but it's still running rough. New parts should be in tomorrow. Bad thing is the ball joint adjustment cams are loose. That will have to be fixed and an alignment before it's ready for a road trip. Hope to have it done before next weeks Colorado trip. Looks like this weekend is out though.
