Any ideas...my SERVICE ENGINE SOON light comes on once a week or so (not regularly). When the light comes on, my PSD will only sit there and idle. After mashing the accelerator a few or more times, the truck will start driving like normal and the light goes out. I also notice that occasionally (like today), the acceleration seems jumpy if I try to just ease into it. Does this sound like the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor or something else?? If it is, any ideas about aftermarket parts or do I have to stick with original equipment?
If it makes a difference, I am driving a 99F350 SD 4x4 with a K&N and an older Diablo chip.

I think your right on. If I remember right early Superduty's may have even had a recall or maybe it was just a TSB on the throttle sensor. It was a common problem.
