Manual to Power Steering
I just bought a 97 2.3l Ford Ranger the other day. It is a Fleet vehicle so it is the base model. So no power steering, A/C, windows or any conveniences like that. But I have to parellel park daily and it is a pain without power steering so I am going to put power steering in it.
I figure I will need the box, pump, lines and bracket holding the pump on. Does anyone think I will need anything else? Also does anyone know which years/models I could get these parts from? I am guessing that the box and pump will be the same for all ford trucks. But the bracket for the pump I am guessing I will need one from my exact year range and engine. Which year range am I in? Do you think the new box will bolt in fine or will I need the PS shaft?
Thanks in advance,
Nathan
