Trans Cooler

I know this subject has been talked about in length, but I can't find the exact question so here goes. What year trucks have the bypass for the tranny cooler? My 96 has a very small tranny cooler in front of the radiator, I don't know if is has the bypass. I want to upgrade to a Tru-Cool but not sure how big to go. Truck is F-350 SRW reg cab. I currently tow a 16' car hauler but will be looking to buy a 26 to 30' 5th wheel trailer.

Look on the passenger side of the transmission. If there is a black tube that connects the two cooler lines you have a bypass. I think that the '96 did not have one.
