I had a set of Cooper STTs on my '99 F150 that I put on at 33k and took off at 99,970 miles when I traded it. They still all have decent tread left on them, they took alot of abuse, and did tow. I only had 1 flat during that time, that was a 4" long piece of #9 sized wire.

I have a buddy who ran the interco TRXUS MTs and they are a sweet tire, wear awesome and are 100% quiet on the road.

The Coopers will howl pretty good, but if you have true dual straight pipes you don't notice it

I just put new tires on my 79 last year and i got hankook dynamic mt's. very happy with everything and no problems at all. I got 31x10.50's for under 100 a tire. firestone destination mt's are what i was going to get but i had 2 flat tires and i decided to get what they had on hand.. hankook dynamic mt's, the hankooks are cheaper than firestones i believe.

I agree about the TRXUS MTs a buddy of mine runs a set of 33s, they weren't to expensive, good in the mud, and they're QUIET!

I know the Coopers are similar to the buck shots, and buckshots are loud! I have true duals and my freind has a new set of 31" buckshots on his mazda with a quiet exhaust and he pasted me the other day(with my windows down)and drowned out my pipes! All I heard were his howeling tires. I'd say his last pair wore down quick, but he travels alot everyday, so 35k sounds about right.

then you dont have loud exhaust cause my 4.5" pipe drowns out boggers! those tires aren't really all that loud! i mean they are a mud tire and all so what can you expect!?!?

Alright, lets hear some prices. I looked into the BGG's a little, and the best price I can see is buying them through Walmart, and for a set of 35"x12.5" R15's, they can get em for $160 each. They dont stock em, but $170/tire mounted and balanced doesnt sound that bad to me, especially since they carry a warranty on their tires sold.

Anyone else?

You can buy Cody's (Cletus12r) 95 Powerstroke and get some 49" Irok's, and a great truck to boot. Figure the coin for 49" Irok's and rims will come in...like about 3000 total, right? So you're basically paying 7000 dollars for a great condition Powerstroke F350 with impeccable care and massive amounts of potential otherwise.

Hah...had to. It's true though..

Cutts I'm not argueing about a Mud tire sounding like a mud tire, but buck shoots are loud with the tread they have compared to bogger, they sound just as loud. I was just saying there are queiter tires out there. You know when you hear a truck coming down the road with duals, his tires is all you can hear on his truck.

As for prices I like the super swamper Irocs 36x13.50R15 for around $167 at discounttire or tirediscount.com or the most I've seen them sell for is around $175. Super Swamper LTBs are also cheap $100-130 a peice, but thery're bias ply only and I don't think they'd have great mileage.
