trailer light problem need help asap

hey every body i am new to this forum and a new ford owner i just bought a 2001 f350 sc dually psd i love it so far but i have a lil problem with the lights and brakes i am going to be pulling a lot of heavy loads with this truck this week what the problem is i have no power to the oem 7 pin or four flat i checked all the fuses and all of them are good are there some relays or something i could be missing i have checked all the way up the frame or any wires out of place but nothing. all the fuses show they are getting power and so does the brake controler but by the fuse box there seems to be some wires that look like the trailer brake control wires i have asked the dealership what it could be and they say i have to put it in the shop and i think all they want my money so if you can please help me.

I dont know for sure what the problem might be.....but forget the dealership. Call your local trailer sales place, or even Uhaul if need be......those guys install the stuff everyday....they are likely to be helpful over the phone.

There is another fuse panel/box under the hood where the fuses and relays for trailer tow are located.

If the wires by the fuse box are the same ones I have, there are say 4-5 of them that look clean cut and are taped to a larger harness??
Those have nothing to do with the trailer harness... They are pass thru wires and should be dead...

Check the owners manual. It has the locations of the relays and fuses.

Not sure on the 01 but on the 05 they are located in the engin comaprtment.

I am having the same problem on my '04 F250 right now as well. Have done the same troubleshooting and can't get anything to the the harness right now. Checked the fuses and have power to the fuse panel and the fuses all have continuity. Still have no power to the harness though.
