I was taking out my cluster so that I could change some bulbs, and as I took it out, it started to crumble. It is like the white backing piece that holds the gages was made out of styrofoam. It is very weak, almost in 2 pieces. Checked the online store here, no luck. What can I do until I get a chance to junkyard one? Anyone got a spare?!?
Thanks
Jim

360 with mild mods (stupid dealer said it was a 460, then I found this page and voila!)
C6 that will 'bout throw your head into the bed!
Junkyards are quicker than shipping. The parts from 80's vans will fit also. There are other threads here that discuss this problem, -use the <SEARCH> function.
We are just seeing the first appearance of "Mutant 59".

Take yours along with you. There are atleast 3 different ones I have seen that look quite similar at first look. Idiot light backs have a narrower connector than gauge backs and some have a light in the center top, others don't.
