Hello, I ran my computer on my car and found KOER Code 12. I looked on websites and found out that it means: Idle Speed Control motor or Air Bypass not controlling idle properly (generally idle too low).
How do I go about and fix this because it wouldn't let me run a few tests and I feel that it can pose a big problem.
Well.. this is the garage and workshop section. I was going to move your post to the proper forum but you didn't even provide the information about which Ford truck or suv it is. Let me know.
Take a look around, note the sections, and post in the area that best fits your vehicle. You'll save yourself time and get answers that way.
I have an 89 Mercury colony park. I figured this site would work because they are similar to the trucks I think. So if you can help me in the right direction that would be great.
Okay. Look on or near the throttle body. Find the metal cylinder that's bolted to it. Unplug the wire from it, and see if the idle changes. If it does it's working... If it doesn't it's stuck. If it's working it's probably the TPS is bad.. If it's within range then it won't set a code.
