i wouldnt reccomend it, but i think it can be done

does your engine have a distributor? are u planning on pulling the computer?

this is going to be alot of work and really the efi would be a better system if you upgraded it

what tranny do you have. is there any emissions testing in your area. an efi 460 is far better then a carbed 460 . the efi will get better mpg for sure

no emission testing yet here in good old texas.i have a zf 5speed manuel trans,im sure up grading would be the best way to go on the efi system, just wanted to make it simple but i dont think it is as easy as i was hoping, any suggestions on where ito look for up grades ?also thanks giuys for your response i just really like the old days with the simple carb and manifold, and yes i do have a dist, and i was planning on scratching the computer if possible.thanks again

go to www.fordfuelinjection.com great site to help fill in those missing gaps of knowledge concerning efi. the stock efi system should be able to handle a decent sized cam ,headers and some head work as well.

Manifold/carb/fuel pump regulator/distributor, shoud get you running. Now if you want to do it cheaper, stick with what you have...

I would keep the fuel injection... its a lot more reliable than a carburetor... you can easily spend $700 on a carb and manifold...
