I Have An 1999 Ranger, I'm Installing A Jvc Cd Plaver. Any Body Have A Wiring Diagram And Could Tell Me The Color Code On The Factory Radio Plug.

Hey F250, why not get a plugin to wire to your JVC head unit? Wally World or any Automative Audio Shop should carry one on the shelf. That way you don't have to cut the wiring.

I recommend buying the harness from your local automotive as well. I just changed the stock radio to a Pioneer head. The change was easy and you can do all the wiring to the new head out of the truck, then plug and play. Good luck. BTW The part here in NY cost me $17.

 

I agree. Go get yourself a adapter harness. It will save you time and if something should ever go wrong with your new unit (hopefully under warranty), or if you don't like it, it will be much easier to replace.

NOTE: This vehicle is equipped with PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System). . *1 The GEM (Generic Electronic Module) is to the left of the radio. *2 The driver door trigger is yellow/black and the passenger door(s) is gray/red. Use both wires and diode isolate as shown in directfax document #1076. *3 The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) is on the top of the firewall under the hood towards the passenger side. The tachometer wire is in pin 48. Can also get tach at the ignition coil or coil pack. Use any of the tan/stripe wires. *4 The GEM in this vehicle shuts down after the doors have been locked for a certain time period, to "wake-up" the system
