It's been fun but .......
But the time has come to send the Forzda to the big off road trail in the sky.
The truck has given me little in the way of troubles, until recently.
I've beat it pretty good while 4 wheelin'. It's done a few things I didn't think it would do as a bone stock 4X4 SUV.... climbed some pretty steep hills, made it through some nasty mud pits, and givin' me more than a few unexpected (good) thrills.
Recently though, the tranny's been getting worse and worse, with nobody quite sure what the problem is. The body is getting pretty rough too. And just days before getting ready to trade it in, the starter solenoid seems to be going bad. On the good side, the 4 wheel drive has never let me down.
And so, I must say, I've gone to the other side.
I just got a 2000 GMC Jimmy. It is a little more of what I was looking for when I first got the Mazda. The biggest difference being it's got a 5 speed, and the slightly larger 4.3L motor.

I hope ya all have fun with your Fords, but for now atleast, I won't.
The dealer gave me a whooping $850 for trade-in on the Forzda. Maybe that'll get me a few months worth of gas !!! LOL
Maybe I'll see ya's on the trail some time,
Till then,

I've never really been much of a "This one's better than that one" type.
More of a "As long as it gets you where you're goin', It's good enough" person.
Everything's got it's ups & downs.
I've never yet owned an actual "Chebby". A couple of GMC's, but nothing with the bowtie.
Maybe that'll keep me in somewhat good standings with everyone here
And thanks for lettin' me hang around. I'm sure there's a few things I learned with the Explavajo that could eventually help someone else out.
We would love that! -Matt

You can come here for help if you want still. Just post in the General Automotive Discussion forum.
