Anybody out there have good or bad experiences with Matt Hofman BMX bikes? My old self needs a new sport and I was pretty good 10 years ago. Why does that last sentence sound like the beginning of a Rescue 911 show... Anyway I have been hearing good things about Matt Hofman and his bikes. When I mountainbike I have a full suspension Cannondale but they're not in the BMX market. There's a halfpipe not too far away so I can learn to jump again. If not a Matt Hofman bike then what other kind of BMX bike is good?
I haven't been on a bike in 10 years (BMX that is), but the kid 2 doors down races locally. He has a Hoffman that he gets out and plays around the neighborhood on. Looks like a solid bike. Hoffman has been around the sport for a long time. If he hasn't changed from the way he was 10 years ago - his products will be worth it.
I was always partial to Cyclecarft and Free Agent frames myself. Redline was always a good choice for fully built bikes...
I've been riding off and on since 86, and I've had a Hoffman frame and was real pleased with it. Matt has been in the sport for over 20 years now, and he has given back to the sport a lot. These days, bikes are built so well compared to the bikes I started riding with in the 80s. We were fixing them more than riding them.
Hoffman bikes are pretty good from what i hear...I used to sell specialized bikes where i used to work and their bikes are solid. never having been in to BMX myself i don't know good either one is but i know i put some of those specialized dirt jumper bikes through hell in the shop
