Help!Wiring Harness Location

05 F250 6.0 SuperCrew: OK, I cant find it!!!! I've wired up my electronic brake controller with the supplied wiring harness (it was different from my 03 F250 gas) and now I cant find where to plug it in. It's not where the directions say it should be - that is unless I have to unplug something else which I doubt. Does anyone know if it goes into the rear of the fuse box somewhere that I cant see?? Or is it hidden somewhere else? The directions also say to unscrew the front pannel with the quarter turn screw to access the fuse box area - mine does not have the screws in the pannel, it just pulls off.

Check out the Ford body builders site. Should be able to find what you need in there. Go to page 160, its under the PTO section, it shows the 4 pass through wires you are looking for. They are in the same bundle as the PTO look under the dash where you were looking, they wil lbe in a bundle of about 12 wires with a white tag holding them to the main harness that has the black covering over it. It is under the panle they told you to remove, and over twards the park brake release. I went right to them on my 05. You may also want to check out the idle control thread on page 5. They go into detail of all the wire harness' located under the dash.

Thanks. I think I found them with the info you provided. However, there is no connector there, just some wires that the factory left "cut". Am I supposed to splice into the matching ones? Cut off the end of their connector on the provided wiring harness and splice into the same colored wires? There are several wires there and only 4 wires on the harness that they provided. Is it common that there would not be any connector (female) one for me to plug into?

Just a thought...since the 05's have an electronic trailer brake controller as standard equipment could it be that connector you're looking for is already being used?

Im pretty sure that the tow command is not standard equipment, but if he has it the plug is in use.

Went to the dealer today. The deisel tech found it right away for me. It was tucked up under the dash a little bit, but at least it was there! Thanks for the help guys!
