After putting my new engine in my 81 F100, and hooking up everything, i have discovered that i didn't take good enough pictures or make enough notes about where certain things go back. The main thing i'm talking about are skinny colored hoses that i think are vacuum hoses that connect to the carb and to the thermostat housing. Also, there are some hoses that go on to a thing that pops out of the manifold. I am unsure about the placement of some of those hoses.
Also, I dont konw what sensors i'm supposed to have and where they go, so if anyone who has knowledge about the sensors could enlighten me about what i need to buy and where i should put the sensors, it would be appreciated.
And about the hoses, if anyone has any pictures of thier I6 with the original Carter single barrel carburator and could send me the pictures, .
i could try to check my bronco out today but i think all my hoses are brown. Do you have a shop manual? the hoses you are talking about I might not have because I made a carb spacer and got rid of most emissions stuff under the hood on my carbed motor. ill see what I can do for you.
i took a look and its a mess under the engine bay. 3 of my lines go to air now, so they were probably egr. I tried to take a pic but nothing (color) was recognizable. Do you need locations for everything? if so i can sit down tonight and write down what i still have hooked up. there should be a vac line diagram under the hood somewhere.
okay. I followed my vac lines and determined it was really no help and by this time it was dark out so i drew the vac routing diagram thats under my hood in paintbrush. I cant even begin to tell you what some of the abrev. are but i think you will get the general idea. The grey line coming from the egr solonoid is actually white but obviously i couldnt draw white. I hope it helps you.
