I have a 2005 f150 Lariate with the cd6 mp3 audiophile stereo system,
It skips backwards, I took it in and ofcourse it work good for them, but they said they would replace it and they did, only with just a cd6 mp3 without the audiophile which is needed to use the subs and amp that comes with the audiophile. So they sent mine in to be fixed and got it back and installed after 5 weeks and on the way home, well you guessed it it still skips backwards, and this is without hitting any bumps.
Does anyone else have this problem??

 

I have the regular stereo in my 04 F150 and I have had no problems. I also have a 05 Mustang with a Shaker 500, Mustang version of the 6CD changer system. I have had the head unit replaced once for skipping already. The second unit also skips but not as often. I was told if they could replicate the problem on the second unit then it would get replaced. There is a TSB for replacing the head unit, 05-10-19.
