Just been thinking about this for a while. Kenny Bell offers a boost-a-pump with there super charger packages. It boosts the voltage going to the fuel pump to produce more flow. Could that same principle be used on the blower motor for the AC? Could you boost the voltage to the motor and make it spin faster to put out more volume? It probably wouldn't be any colder just blow harder. Get more air circulation around the cabin.
This was done on 7/23/05: I ran a 12v blower (GM stuff) at 18 volts, and it did blow harder, until the nylon fan disentigrated.
Yeah, I know what you mean about air flow in the Fords. I find myself reaching to check the fan speed on my '83 from time to time. I like to feel the air flowing around the cab.
If you increase the fan air flow too much, the temp across the evaporator will actually begin to rise.
