this mainly happens after i press on the accelerator.
also, when a/c is on, each time the compressor kicks on, almost stalls engine.

Sounds like the throttle cable might be sticking too.

carb cleaner for IAC. Throttle body cleaner for the throttlebody.
do a search on cleaning IAC and you'll get the definitive procedures as there is somethihng to watch out for/not do and offhand I can't recall what it was.
