Exclamation urgent question

Okay im getting my suncoast converter installed right now as we speak and theyve agreed to install my stage2 water/methanol injection kit from snowperformance, and the mechanic that is doing the installation has told me that he's done this on gas engines and that the nozzles go thru the intake, well some how I know that on a diesel the nozzles go after the turbo and after the intercooler right b4 the manifold, but I could be wrong and i need to make sure so he can get going with the install, he was about to put the nozzles right after the intake and i told him to wait untill I find out for sure where they go. After a couple attempts to call snowperformance they havent called back (been 2 days). So ladies and gentle men snowperformance deserves a thumbs down for that one!.
While im at it do any of you know if I could run my edge on level 5 on most responsive with a 49%/51% mix of methanol/water? or is that not safe?

THANKS !!!

You need to have them install the nozzles in the intake elbow which is bolted directly onto the throttle plate assy and intake manifold. It is a simple drill and tap.

With DPS nozzles you can get away with installing them in the cold side CAC tube, but I don't think the Snow nozzles are threaded to accept a nut on the backside; they are tapered NPT. Just make sure it is on the COLD side of the intercooler.

As for 49/51 mixture, I just don't see a need for a mix that strong. As I mentioned in the other thread, the mixture is totally dependant upon overall system flow- the TOTAL amout of methanol entering the system is what matters, not what percentage you are running. Keep in mind that the Edge uses quite a bit of injector timing, and overall timing is what kills rods. Methanol adds chemical timing, which also factors into the overall timing. Lots of injector timing + lots of chemical timing = new block, rods, and crank.

Snow "recommends" the 50/50 mixture, but this is only ideal from strictly a chemical standpoint. On a gasoline engine it is perfect, but in a diesel the alchohol will get burned a long time before TDC. It is still a mystery to me why they advise this on diesel engines too. Anything over about 20% (at least at my flow level, which past 35 lbs boost is much higher than you will be running) starts losing effectiveness of dropping the EGTs...they progressively start rising back up past that point. I'd venture to guess that about 35% is all you are going need to run. Straight windshield washer fluid can't be beat for the $.79 cents a gallon you can get it at. I typically fill my 2 8 gallon tanks with 4 gallons of WWF and 4 gallons of Ingles distilled water in each tank. If you plan on using tap water, I would recommend picking up a small screen 35-40 micron fuel filter on the primary feed line to make sure no particles make it through the system.

okay I think my kit came with a pump capable of 220psi and 2 nozzles but I dont remember if they were both 625ml/min or just one 625 and one 375, but based on this Matt what do you think the pump should be turned up to, to push a mixture of 49/51 safely thru my motor? At snow performance they sell gallons already mixed at 49/51 and I ordered a box full of um.
