AOD 2-3 Accumulator Snap Ring

AOD 2-3 Accumulator Snap Ring
I have a 93 mustang AOD that I got from the junkyard. I am in the process of rebuilding it. When I went to take out the 2-3 accumulator there was no Snap ring. I think there should be a snap ring on there but do not know.

if the trans is electronic,with connecter on the pass. side rear of the trans case.then it should be a aode trans. there is no retainer for the 2-3 accum. assy.there should be a weared steal shaped spacer that is held in place by the valve body when torqued down. the 1-2 accum. is held down with a retainer and a snap ring.
