Help solving a misfire problem in 4.0 V6

Hey my 1995 ranger 4.0 v6 (160,000) recently got a DTC P0302 (misfire cyl.2) and I can't seem to figure out what is causing it. Symptoms are typical for a misfire, so I put new plugs and wires in. No Help.

So, my next guess is the ignition coil but I don't know much about it. I looked at the price of a new one and it isn't cheap (for a college kid).

Are there any other possible causes?

Can I test the ignition coil pack in some way with a voltage meter?

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I would check the resistance in the wires first. I have even had new wires test bad.
