Just found my rad is leaking at the lower tank seams. Had it into a local shop to get an estimate if it was repairable. Turns out I have a rad from a '94 in my 1995 PSD. Unfortunatly to cost to repair the thing was getting pretty high. So I bought a new one for almost the same cost as repairing it.
But looking at the new one, it doesn't even look remotely similar to the one in the truck. I couldn't find any picture of what an OEM rad for my year is supposed to look like.
The '94 has a rad cap, and this new one doesn't. Plus it doesn't even appear to have anyplace to mount the supports or shroud.
Does anyone have a picture of what the correct rad is supposed to look like, so when I head back to the shop I know what the correct one is.
Thanks
My 95 has no cap on the radiator but has a coolant reservoir on the passenger side fender well. Sounds like they sold you the right radiator but for some reason your rig has been swapped over to the old style. Or maybe your truck is really a 94?
Hmmmm, it is a 1995. Checked the VIN and all. Looking on Napa's website and the rad the show is the identical one to what I have.
Are the factory rads 2 row?
