The problem:
The wipers will only turn on in the high position for a few minutes. Then they begin to start and stop until they stop totally. Also the motor was very noisy.
What I did:
I replaced the motor and the switch, so now it is more quiet in the few minutes it actually works... The switch did nothing.
Any idea what the problem could be or how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am pretty frustrated.Thanks.
Check grounding for the motor case and switch case. Check the motor case ground first by making your own ground, from motor case to a good ground on the fire wall, and see if wiper motor works, at least on high. Then do the same for the switch case. If the wipers now work on low repair the ground for the switch. If they still only work on high then the interval governor needs to be replaced. Also check for good voltage at terminal 56 Blue/orange wire.
Usually you check for the switch ground first, but sounds as if your wipers are stopping and starting in high.
Hope this helps---Mike
