I was wandering if anyone knew the timing specs for a 76 360 2bbl..All the books i have looked at so far,says "see under hood sticker"...Mine has no sticker under the hood..Thanks in advance.

Set that with the vacuum advance disconnected and plugged.
I never have figured out why they tell you to disconnect the ported vacuum advance. If it is working right there is no vacuum on the ported vacuum at idle. Plugging it doesn't make much sense either as there is no vacuum to plug.

"The factory timing initial advance specs on the FE are 6BTDC. Increasing the advance to 10 - 12BTDC can greatly increase your throttle responsiveness."
Usually more timing = more fuel economy, power, and efficiency, as long as you're not pinging. There are some engines that wont ping even when set for more timing than the setting that produces the most power, but this is a rare occurance for a pump gas burning, street driven engine. Also, it's not just a matter of more or less timing, you've also got an advance curve in there, so you could have too much at one rpm and not enough at another rpm. Then you throw vacuum advance in there... it gets complicated.
