94 e350 stumble in idle?

have had to 3 shops, replaced distributer, cap, wires, coil, pcv, plugs,ig module, computer module, had injectors cleaned, all filters. only stumbles in idle at operating temp, runs great otherwise. not sure if related but pin 57 burned out of computer module. was checked and replaced and reset seemed not related to stumble in idle, no check engine light on ( it works), surges after stumble, computer diagnostic not helping, plugs were worn evenly and no unusual clue to problem, 140,000 miles, no diff air on or off, stumble is intermittent at no regular interval, this is a 5.8 1994 e350 general running of van improved significantly with major tune up as expected but still has miss or stumble in idle. anyone solved similar problem or has ideas, greatly appreciated.

I saw no mention of checking the IAC (idle air control) or the EGR valve , these both can cause what you are describing.

the end of the story is a chafed wire in wiring harness at 90 degree turn in engine compartment in front of steering wheel. found by poking at night with wood stick/ after a lot of money and garages. wanted to post in case someone else needs info.

look at insulated (shielded)wire. goes to pin 57 in computer. shield cut into
the insulation causing intermittent short. burned computer, coil, ig module, etc all at diff times. by the way, the parts books for these year vans has wrong number for ignition modules. there is another thread about this. anything else i can help with let me know. hope this helps
