did the ccv mod today is it normal for alot of white/clear smoke to be comming out, anyone now were i could buy the seals for the ccv besides the dealer
went to local auto parts store got a 22 by 1.5 cummings oil pan plug 4.00 and bought a case of 3/4 in heater hose 50 feet total it was cheaper than just buying 20 feet anyone need any 3/4 in heater hose i got some and no i didn't make a canister didn't think i needed one
mine is not so much smoke as it is vapor... it looks white in color, but it really doesn't have any color, when you look close it is kinda grey... and there is a lot more pressure and flow when i first start.. once she's up to full temp there is just a slight stream of vapor... flow and pressure do not change with an increase in rpm, that is to say, if i rev it up, there is no "jump" in the volume or flow out of the tube... i think this is a good thing... good rings in my mule...? very little "blow by"..? or am i just fooling myself on this..?

Did mine today. 2 thumbs up. Took my 16 ft 3/4" heater hose all the way back to the rear bumper. I also cut the snorkel from the stock center piece, and expoxied the opening of it. I got the HAAS kit, but am still using the stock center connector until I can get it to fit better with my Garrett BB turbo silicone boot.
Results, better part throttle response, and more turbo whine. Must be because it is getting more oxygen since those CCV vapors displace oxygen.
But I didn't turn the doghouse around. Plugged a 90 deg connector directly to the stock hose and angled it backwards. I also wrapped the portion of the hose that was close the the exhaust manifold with 1500 deg heat wrap tape.
Now I can't wait to do the AIH for even better throttle response!
thought i knew what a ccv mod was but i guess i dont. anyone feel like typing a refresher course in what it is, what does it do? pros and (if any) cons?
