I have been working an a '90 Nissan 240 SX for awhile for somone now. It had 2 dead injectors so I had a set of 24lb/hr Accels sitting there. I threw them in, it runs but I just found out (forgot to check before) that the fuel PSI on this car is 34psi!!!! the stockers are like 270cc/min (about 27 or 28 lb) I know it was a bit lean but with that little pressure it is way too lean. Any idea how i would go about figuring what the rating should be to make up for this? I was thinking at least 36lb injectors. BTW Accels are rated 24lb/hr at 45psi same as the FMS injectors.
Is that the correct pressure stock, or is the regulator or fuel pump worn out? There's probably a ricer upgrade for the fuel pressure regulator, usually they're adjustable so you can crank up the pressure and run the 24's all the way across
Well, it looks to be 34psi stock. I was told to try a greddy emanage system. But for the price its cheaper to change injectors. I actually just happend by a conversion program online that says at 34psi a 30lb/hr will flow like 274cc/min (26lb/hr) While the 24s that are in it are like 207cc/min at that psi. So since the car needs 270c injectors I am either going to have to boost to like 49psi on the fuel system or go with the 30lb injectors.
