clever answer. if i had the tires in front of me, i might have known that. i don't actually have them here, yet. i thought maybe it was possible. weirder things have happened...

well it says it on ANY tire to only use the specified rim. yes i thought it was quite clever!
also be advised that 16.5" rims if you air down which you should for wheeling otherwise why are you in this forum will have a greater risk of losing a bead.

speaking of, i lost my first bead about 2 months ago (when i was having BIG driveshaft problems) and i was turning about 6-7 psi. my g/f had never seen the ether trick done before and now she wont touch any of my tires! lol
I have three sets of 16.5x9.75 that have the ridges/beads to hold the tire beads on when aired down. These do seem to be the minority rims in 16.5s though. They're the only ones I have ever seen like that.
It is handy when I let the air out of the tires so I can reach over the radiator to work on the engine that the bead stays seated.

I think the model is muscle. I got them from a tire store / repair shop in Copperas cove. The guy said they were distributer closeouts and he bought all off them his distributer had. He is selling them for $50 apiece. I bought three sets and one spare.
Give Fourwheel parts a call.I bought some "rockcrawler" wheels in black 16.5 x9.75 on a 5x 5.5 b.c. for my '67 f100.they were around $75.00 a pop.I'm running 37 x13.5's [ used hummer millitary tires and I love em. ] anyway they can fix you up.
thanks sdr93! i called them and they should be here this week. it's good to hear that you're using humvee tires and that you like them. that's what i'm putting on these. thanks again!
